"Patarei" seafort was built in 19. century in order from Nikolai I. Constructions began in 1828 and was finished twelve years later 1840. And so in the very first year it was used as the military cannon battery. But through the history, this building had so many different functions of use, nowadays it is in use of culture events. Tallinns city little culture park.But short was his job to keep cannons, it formed around in 1867 to a military base. Then in 1920 it got a name of Jail for about around 80 years. After that, the building was just a haunted seafort with many empty, dark and scary windows standing on the shore of Tallinn. And in 2007 it became what it is in use of until today, a culture park.
    I´ve been there myself, inside and outside of that building. Place with a very disturbing, negative aura and it is very scary place to be. If you accidently find yourself alone there, it actually feels like someone is watching you. And the Forbidden Wing, noone can go there, even the owners of this place, it haunts there, for real. The entrance to this area is sealed with big metal door with a peekhole. I watched through this hole, cold wind dried my eye, what was on the other side of the door was saddly beautiful. Old walls were covered with moss, floor was covered with white dust. The guide said that the security have heard the noises from the basement in the execution room. But I think that its just a story to make it all more interesting. But little fantasy is never bad. Its very interesting and fun experience, only time when its not fun is when you find yourself alone, like I did. The cause of this was because we went there with class from my last school to draw the place. And so I roamed around this big haunted Jail and I was so in my own thoughts that I didnt realize where am I going or where am I and where are the rest of the class. The scariest part was when I tried to find others by following the voice that echoed back to me from every empty and sark room of this Seafort.  A Very unique 19.century building, Deffinetly go and check out.
